Abstract submission to the Congress is closed.

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation in the final program. Presenters may indicate preference for either poster or oral presentation. Poster presenters will be allocated specific times for them to be in attendance.

Instructions for Authors  

Preparation of Abstract

1. All abstracts must be submitted in English and should not exceed 250 words. The abstract title, names of authors and affiliations should not be included in the word count. Strictly no graphs or charts allowed.
   
   
2. The title should be in capital letters and bold print. Do not centralise.
   
   
3. The authors’ names should appear as their first two initials followed by their family names. Authors’ affiliations should be indicated by numbered superscripts with the name of the respective institution(s), city and country listed immediately beneath the list of authors, typed in upper and lower case and single-spaced without using full-stops. The presenter’s name is to be underlined.
   
   
4. The text of the abstract must include “Objectives”, “Methodology”, “Results” and “Conclusion”. The section headings should appear in bold.
   
   
5. Abstracts will be categorised according to the topics listed below. Please select a topic that best suits your abstract. Indicate the category that you are submitting for below the abstract content. Only one abstract category is allowed.

   • Platelet activation, adhesion and biochemistry
   • Vascular Wall Biology
   • Disorders of Platelet Function and Numbers
   • Blood Coagulation and Fibrinolytic Factors
   • Bleeding Disorders
   • Pathophysiology of Thrombosis
   • Antithrombotic Therapy
   
   
6. If you have a preference for either oral or poster presentation, please indicate this.
   
   
7. Please save your abstract in Microsoft Word format with a preferred font size 11 point in Times New Roman font. Name the file after the presenting author’s family name. Should the presenting author be submitting more than one abstract, please number the files accordingly.
   
   
8. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Abstract is to be submitted electronically as a file attachment to the Secretariat at apsthabstracts@papersubmission.com.

Please ensure that you comply with the specifications mentioned in “Preparation of Abstract”.

Registration and notification of submission status
All presenting authors must register for the congress upon acceptance of their abstract(s). Authors will be notified of the status of their submission by 22 August 2008. Details of oral presentation and poster format will be provided for successful submissions. Authors who wish to withdraw their submission papers are to notify the secretariat in writing.

The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend or change any part of the submission guidelines without prior notice.
